About you and the company
This tells us what we are archiving and how urgent it is. One order covers one QuickBooks company.
The agreement and your receipts go here.
As it should appear on the engagement agreement.
If the business files its taxes for January through December, that's the calendar year. Your year-by-year reports are built around this.
Cancelled companies are deleted about 12 months later. This tells us your deadline.
A name or firm. We pay a referral fee to accountants who send clients our way.
Your archive
Every archive includes the core audit set for the company's entire history, in both cash and accrual basis:
Profit and Loss Statement
Balance Sheet
Trial Balance
Statement of Cash Flows
General Ledger
Journal
Transaction List by Date
A/R Aging Summary
A/R Aging Detail
A/P Aging Summary
A/P Aging Detail
Sales Tax Liability Report
1099 Transaction Detail Report
1099 Contractor Balance Detail Report
Audit Log
Reconciliation Reports
Chart of Accounts
Plus every attachment and receipt linked to its transaction, the audit log, bank reconciliation reports, the customer, vendor, and employee lists, a verification report checked against your live books, and a cover page that explains how to find anything in it.
Most archives are delivered within 5 business days of your QuickBooks invitation arriving. A large or complicated company can take longer, and we confirm your expected schedule in writing once we have access.
After you cancel, QuickBooks keeps the file for about a year and then deletes it permanently. Nobody can go back for a report that was not exported. The base archive covers what an audit normally asks for. The upgrade adds every remaining report QuickBooks can produce for your company, captured while capture is still possible. Choose it if you want to never think about this again.

How the whole thing works
Sign the agreement on the next screen. It takes about two minutes.
Pay by card or bank transfer through Stripe.
Invite us to your QuickBooks. We email you the exact steps right after payment: you add michael@booksbackup.com as an accountant user, which is a free seat and takes two minutes.
We build and verify your archive, checking it against your live books, and send you the download.
You review and confirm. Then you remove our access, we delete our working copies on the schedule in the agreement, and you cancel QuickBooks whenever you like.
We start work only after payment, and if the archive fails our verification checks you get a full refund. The agreement, our terms, and our privacy policy spell everything out, including our use of AI-assisted processing.
Sign the agreement
The engagement agreement covers one archive of one company at the price you just reviewed. In short: we only view and export, we never change your books, working copies are deleted after delivery, and there is no subscription. It opens in a new tab, and eSignatures will email you a 6-digit code to confirm it's you.
Waiting for your signature. This page moves forward on its own once you have signed.
Signed. One step left.
Payment is handled by Stripe. Card or US bank transfer, $499 one time. Your receipt comes from Stripe, and the next-steps page appears right after payment.
